Good Beer Hunting is proud to partner with Barista Parlor to bring a case study of coffee beers to CBC this year. We fell in love with Barista Parlor back when they were a multi-roaster coffee bar, serving some of the best coffee across the country to Nashvillians. The design of their space and service model was engaging and unorthodox, bringing a more casual vibe to high-end coffee. For several years now, Barista Parlor has been roasting their own coffee out of their location in the Gulch neighborhood of Nashville.

For this event, Barista Parlor will be collaborating on coffee beers with two local breweries and one brewery visiting for CBC

Bearded Iris (Nashville)
Fresh Baked with Coffee - A collaboration with Christie Cookie this is an Imperial Oatmeal Milk Stout with chocolate chips, Christie Cookie Chocolate Chunk cookies, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and lactose, aged on different coffee beans in the casks—one on Cusco, a coffee from Calca, Peru; the other on Terrazas Del Pisque, from Las Tolas, Ecuador. Both have the same amount of whole beans and the same amount of conditioning time to highlgith the difference in the coffee varieties.

Southern Grist (Nashville)
Colonial Terrazas - Oatmeal Milk Stout with BP Terrazas del Pisque coffee, brewed in collaboration with Heist Brewing for CBC; and Don Roger Black Currant Boysenberry Hill - sour ale brewed with lactose, black currant & boysenberry purees, and BP Don Roger coffee

Solemn Oath (Chicagoland) -
Gatare Solo (Lü Kolsch w/ Gatare) - Mellow malt sweetness balanced by a delicate, spicy, and floral hop profile complimented by maximum bright acidity and fruit from the coffee; and 83andMe (Baltic Porter w/ Gatare) - Rich cocoa with a complex, chewy body combined with Rwandan coffee to create a complex union with full flavors of salted caramel, fudge, and espresso

Barista Parlor will lead cuppings at the top of every hour in the Roasting Room, featuring the various coffees used in the beer collaborations.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door, if available, as well as online. The first 50 guests through the door will get an Uppers & Downers glass and a small swag bag.

We hope to see you there! You can read about our flagship Chicago fest here.
