Good Beer Hunting

no. 197

Cafe by day, craft beer bar by night, shuffleboard hall all the time: Kaschk does a lot of things. But it does them all well. The low-key, low-pretension vibe in the afternoon is conducive for folks to catch up on some reading, get some work done, or hold hands and look longingly into each other's eyes.

In the evening, it transforms into a dimly-lit but equally low-key beer joint serving up 12 European-focused taps and more than 48 bottles and cans from all over the world. It's all backed by an eclectic mix of music ranging from the deep cut classics of Chopin, to thumping house beats, to off-the-wall ‘90s rap remixes.

All the while, two shuffleboard tables lay in wait a floor below. But it'll cost you. A table is €9/hour before 6pm and €18/hour after. With prices like that, competition gets serious.
